Comparisons

EOS and the alternatives, side by side

Nobody runs two operating systems at once to find out which is better, so the comparison has to be done on paper first. These pages put EOS® next to the systems and the software teams weigh against it, with the same questions asked of each one and the sources named.

01

How we compare things here

We ask the same questions of every system: what it asks of the leadership team each week, what it costs, who it fits, and where it falls down. Facts come from the published books and the vendor's own live pages, named and dated in the text. We give no scores and pick no winner, because the right answer depends on your company.

A score out of ten would be easier to read and would tell you nothing. A system that suits a 40 person manufacturer is wrong for a 12 person agency, and a five star average hides that. So each page ends with who it fits rather than a rank.

Where a price is published, we quote it and say when we checked. Where it is only shown inside the product or on a sales call, we say that instead of guessing. If a vendor changes a number and we have not caught up, tell us and we will fix the page.

Money: we take a referral fee from some software vendors, and pages carrying those links say so above the fold. We have never been paid to change a sentence, and no vendor sees a page before it goes up. The disclosure page has the full arrangement.

Software teams run it on

Start with a real question

Still torn between two of these?

Tell us the size of the team, the thing that keeps breaking, and what you have already tried. A person reads it and replies within one business day with a straight recommendation, including when the answer is to change nothing.

A person reads every one.
