How listings work
What Verified, Preferred Partner and Sponsored mean in our directory, what money can buy here, and what it can never buy.
Last updated 27 August 2026. The directory is not live yet. We are publishing the rules first so that when it opens, nobody can claim they were changed quietly.
Most directories in this market sort by who paid and let you work it out. We would rather tell you up front: there are three kinds of listing, one of them is bought, it is labelled, and it does not move anybody up a list.
The three listing types
- Verified. Free. Anyone who is a genuine, currently practising implementer or coach can have one. We check that the person exists, that the business is real, and that the contact details work. Nobody pays for it and nobody can pay to have it taken away.
- Preferred Partner. Hand-picked by us from people we have seen do good work or whose clients told us they did. It can involve a commercial agreement, such as a referral fee when an introduction becomes an engagement, and where it does we say so on the listing itself. We choose these; they cannot be bought by applying with a cheque.
- Sponsored. Paid placement. Clearly labelled as sponsored wherever it appears, kept visually distinct from ordinary results, and excluded from anything we describe as a ranking or a shortlist.
Every listing shows its type on the listing itself, not in a footnote you have to hunt for.
What never affects position
Ranking and sort order are not for sale. Neither are the shortlists we put together when somebody asks us to point them at an implementer. What decides who appears, and in what order, is a short list of things a reader would actually care about:
- where you work and whether you cover the reader's region;
- your experience level and how many engagements you are running;
- the industries and company sizes you have worked with;
- reviews from people who worked with you, under our review policy;
- whether your listing is complete and current, and whether you answer enquiries.
Paying us changes none of those. A Sponsored slot buys a labelled, visually separated box. It does not move a name up the results, it does not add a star, and it does not put anybody into an introduction they did not fit.
Claiming or applying for a listing
Everything is by email for now, because the self-serve version is still being built. Write to [email protected] with your name, your firm, your website, where you work, and how long you have been running EOS® sessions.
- To claim a listing we already published, write from an address on your business domain and tell us what needs correcting. We will send you a link to confirm it is you.
- To be listed for the first time, tell us the same things. A free Verified listing is the default answer for anyone who checks out.
- To ask about Preferred Partner or Sponsored, say so and we will tell you what is involved, including what a partner agreement would mean and how it gets disclosed.
We can decline or remove a listing. In practice that happens when somebody is not actually practising, when the details do not check out, or when the way they deal with readers we introduce turns out to be a problem.
How leads reach an implementer
When a reader asks us to introduce them, we look at what they need and suggest people who fit. We share their details with an implementer only when the reader has asked for that introduction, and only with the person or people they agreed to. We do not broadcast an enquiry to every listing in a region and let them race.
Readers can tell us to stop at any point, and we will confirm who already has their details. Implementers who receive an introduction get the reader's contact details and what they told us about their situation. They do not get anything else about the reader's browsing.
Our privacy policy covers what we hold and for how long, and our disclosure page covers the money side.
