Focus Day®
The Focus Day is the first full session of an EOS® rollout, where a leadership team builds the Accountability Chart™, sets Rocks and drafts a Scorecard. It ends with the team booked to run its first weekly meeting within days. The point is to leave with tools in use rather than with notes about tools.
01
How EOS uses the Focus Day
It follows the free ninety-minute overview and comes before the two Vision Building® days, which surprises teams expecting to start with strategy. EOS puts structure and rhythm first deliberately, because a team that has been meeting weekly and reporting numbers for a month argues about vision with something concrete to argue from.
The order is the interesting part. Most consulting starts with strategy and hopes execution follows. Starting with seats, numbers and a weekly meeting gives a team a visible change inside a fortnight, and that is usually what buys the patience for the harder vision conversations a month later.
Worked example: A thirty-person logistics firm left its Focus Day with a chart showing two empty seats, four Rocks and eight Scorecard rows, three of which nobody could yet produce a number for. The first weekly meeting was rough and ran long. By week five it finished on time, and two of the three missing numbers existed.

EOS Process®
The EOS Process is the fixed sequence of sessions an implementer runs with a leadership team, from a free overview to the quarterly meetings.
02Accountability Chart
The Accountability Chart is a picture of the seats a company needs and the three to five things each seat owns, drawn before anybody's name goes in a box.
03Vision Building
Vision Building is the pair of full-day sessions where a leadership team fills in the V/TO®, usually held about thirty days apart early in a rollout.
04KPIs and EOS: build a Scorecard that predicts results
Where KPIs fit inside EOS: the weekly Scorecard, 5 to 15 measurables, one owner each, and a simple picker to draft yours by industry in a few minutes.
Start with a real question
Not sure which of these you actually need?
Tell us what the leadership team is arguing about. A person replies within one business day with a straight answer, whether that is a book, a tool or an implementer.
A person reads every one.
